Households in Ireland have adopted video streaming service at a strong level in recent years. During the months when COVID-19 restrictions were in place, 38% of people said their streaming habits had changed significantly. This mass experiment in streaming services has led to new users across every video platform including ad-funded and paid for services.The RTÉ Player has been accessed by half of the population, and 63% of people have used Netflix at some point in recent months.
