TikTok Launches Live DM Feature for Creators and Businesses

TikTok has introduced a new feature that allows creators and businesses to activate direct messages (DMs) during live streams. This enables viewers to instantly message hosts while watching, making it easier for businesses to connect with potential customers in real time.

The feature, called ”LIVE set up for client acquisition,” adds a call-to-action button during live broadcasts. This allows viewers to ask questions, request more information, or express interest in products or services without leaving the stream. It’s part of TikTok’s broader strategy to enhance live-stream commerce, inspired by the success of its Chinese counterpart, Douyin.

For Irish business, this update offers a valuable opportunity. TikTok has been expanding its e-commerce features in Europe, including Ireland. With the addition of live DMs, Irish creators and brands can engage directly with their audience, answer their queries instantly, and potentially increase sales through more personalized interactions.

In a market where social commerce is still growing, this feature could help Irish businesses stand out by providing a more interactive and responsive customer experience. As TikTok continues to develop its live-stream tools, embracing these features could be a strategic move for brands looking to connect with audiences in new and engaging ways.
