Google expands AI Max globally

Google has announced new features for AI Max for Search and Performance Max campaigns which sees the continued shift from manual campaign management to strategic oversight.

AI Max allows advertisers to use Google’s AI to optimise Search campaigns, with a focus on increasing conversions. A one-click experiments feature simplifies A/B testing, allowing advertisers to quickly and easily compare different AI strategies and evaluate their performance. This should reduce the time and effort typically required for manual testing.

An updated text guidelines feature promises to give advertisers more creative control and brand safety. This feature allows you to specify rules for AI-generated ad copy, such as excluding certain words or phrases, to ensure messaging aligns with your brand’s voice and standards. This addresses a common concern about the unpredictable nature of AI-generated content.

These enhanced features should excite advertisers because they automate everyday optimisation tasks while also giving crucial control around messaging and brand safety. This has been rolled out globally and Core are currently testing them across a number of clients.
