MediaPLUS: IRS+ and Digitize launch Vocalise with IRS+ platform

IRS+ and Digitize have introduced Vocalise from IRS+, a new digital audio advertising platform designed to unify and modernize local Irish radio in the digital space. Powered by Triton’s technology, the platform brings together 21 local radio stations, creating a large combined audience of roughly 6 million listening hours each month and around 13 million pre-roll ad impressions, giving advertisers a significant digital reach.

The network includes well-known stations such as Highland Radio, Radio Nova, Sunshine, KFM, Tipp FM, and Radio Kerry, along with five digital-only stations like Nova 80s and Sunshine Soul. WLR FM has also joined the initiative. For Midwest and Midlands 103, this marks their first entry into digital audio advertising, while many others have migrated from previous providers to become part of the new ecosystem.

Initially, Vocalise will focus on pre-roll ads on live streams and other programmatic opportunities. Listeners can access content across a wide range of devices smartphones, smart speakers, smart TVs, in‑car digital audio, and laptops, making the platform broadly accessible. From Q2 onward, IRS+ plans to expand into data-led formats, content-led advertising, podcasts, and new creative options, positioning Vocalise as the next evolution of Irish local digital audio.

What does this mean for Irish advertisers?

For Irish advertisers, the launch of Vocalise from IRS+ represents a much stronger and more unified entry point into digital audio. Instead of dealing with fragmented local station setups, advertisers now gain access to a single, scaled digital network with millions of listening hours and significant pre-roll inventory. This scale improves both the effectiveness and efficiency of campaigns, making digital audio more competitive with national platforms.
The addition of stations entering digital audio for the first time expands geographic and demographic reach, while the migration of others brings greater consistency in measurement and targeting. As new data‑led formats, podcasts, and creative options roll out, advertisers will benefit from better audience insight, more flexible programmatic buying, and richer storytelling opportunities
