New Competitive Dashboard on Meta

Competitive insights just became a whole lot more accessible thanks to a new addition to Meta’s professional dashboard, whereby a user can manually add up to 10 accounts and directly compare insights with their competitor brands/ creators.

A useful addition (and reminiscent of the platform’s previous insights tool), this will offer clients’ insight into how individual competitor accounts are performing in terms of follower growth, types of content, and will enable brands to also benchmark their performance against these accounts in turn.

To note, it doesn’t showcase detailed metrics such as likes or engagement rates, or ads created through Meta Ads Manager, but will include boosted content.

What it Means for Brands:

Overall, this will help clients when it comes to planning and measuring social, by enabling teams to understand how their content performance ranks against competitors. Not only that, it also offers an insight into which types of content and creators competitors are working with – and will help to inform ongoing content creation and their broader social strategies.

For more information, reach out to Team Social who will be trialling this feature as it rolls out.
